  • Our group performs approximately 14,000 procedures annually, using the most advanced endoscopy and colonoscopy technology to treat disorders of the digestive system.
  • Through the support of our researchers, our physicians have access to the most advanced technology, treatments and diagnostics in Gastroenterological care, especially colorectal and liver cancer. 
  • This opportunity is to join our team of 12 FT Gastroenterology faculty and 1 NP
  • We are in the process of hiring 1-2 PAs in the next few months to add to our growing team.
  • Advanced therapeutics not required, though welcome. 
  • All GI procedures are done. 
  • GI inpatient care strictly consultative.  Consult service staffed by GI fellows at all times and supervised by all faculty members on a rotating basis.  Generally, ranges from 3-8 new consults per day.  Inpatient consult service coverage 5-6 weeks per year.
  • Fellow endoscopy coverage 1-2 ½-day sessions per week. 
  • Remainder is outpatient care

The more common procedures include:

  • Colonoscopy and removal of polyps
  • Upper endoscopy
  • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
  • Endoscopic ultrasound
  • Esophageal and rectal manometry
  • Liver biopsy
  • Capsule endoscopy
  • Endoscopic reflux therapy
  • Gastrointestinal motility services
  • First, a member of the Gastrointestinal Division thoroughly evaluates each patient, educates the patient about his or her condition and treatment options, and determines a treatment plan. If an endoscopy is required, the patient receives the procedure at the endoscopy unit or at our nearby Ambulatory Endoscopy Center.
  • We offer a competitive salary of $350,000-475,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
